Rivers of Joy is multi-cultural church and one of the over 30,000 Parishes of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) under the leadership of Pastor E. A. Adeboye, who is the General overseer. The RCCG was established in Lagos, Nigeria in 1952 and has rapidly grown to the glory of God with parishes on all the populated continents of the world.

Rivers of Joy started in July 1997 and eventually settled at the Maryland Business Plaza in Maryland, Lagos. The Church rapidly grew and became a cosmopolitan Church catering to the spiritual needs of different categories of believers, from the youth to the elderly.

In October 2011, the Church moved to it’s current location on Ikorodu Road, by Wasimi Maryland. God has blessed us and used us to touch the lives of many in our community. To this end, our mission, in addition to that of the RCCG is…

It is our aim, that God helping us, we will continue to do this until our community and all those we are able to reach, within the nation and outside, are won for Christ.
